My experience comes from working on the job. Over the last 15 years, I have worked with half a dozen renovation and building contractors. Their jobs included full basement, kitchen and bathroom renovations. In 2013 I felt I had enough experience to establish my own home service business. Since then I have gained hundreds of customers, with many offering positive reviews. My intention has always been to remain small and specialized. My choice is to concentrate on jobs that I can perform both expertly and quickly. A review of my services page will show you what those jobs are. In that list you will probably find the majority of the odd jobs that need attention in your home. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will find some services that I don’t offer. In order to remain specialized, it’s necessary to try and not do everything. Also – I prefer to work alone which means I am exempt from requirements to obtain a WSIB clearance number.
I’m a huge fan of all the popular DIY and renovation programs on TV, and I often find handy tips for the jobs I do on YouTube. At Seneca College I’ve completed courses in Building Structure, Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing and the Ontario Building Code. These were all part of the Certified Home Inspectors program. While I may not be a home inspector, the knowledge can only benefit us both.
I have a few contacts on my links page for services that I don’t offer. I have worked with or for several companies mentioned there. Because I don’t work in Toronto, I have listed a couple other Handyman Services at the top of the page for Toronto customers. Please contact me with your job requests or questions. I would be happy to offer my service as your Whitby Handyman !
