The cost to maintain a stock of the necessary items to complete your job is increasing every day. Whether you see any of these items used on your job-or not, they must be averaged over all service calls, with additional invoiced for job-specific materials, like items from my inventory of plumbing and electrical spares.
A “short” list of the materials carried for every job includes:
adhesives, anchors, toggle bolts, glues, masking tape, screws, nails, dowels, drywall, drywall compound, drywall tape, sandpaper, mending plates, romex wire, wire connectors, electrical tape, flux, solder, ABS cement, picture hardware, batteries, cutting blades, caulking, cleaners, acetone, paper towel, rags, velcro, etc., etc., etc.,
Commercial: renovation or building contractor, deposit for all materials + 50% labor prior to booking.
